Project Description: Digital Voyager - Social Media Exploration

The primary objective is to enhance RemoteCasa's social media presence by developing and implementing a strategic content plan that attracts and engages our target audience of remote workers and digital nomads.


Main Goal:

The primary objective of this project is to:

  • Understanding the needs and preferences of remote workers and digital nomads.
  • Researching social media trends relevant to travel and remote work.
  • Creating engaging and informative content that aligns with our brand values.


Project creation considerations:

  • Understand the Audience: Research the preferences and social media behaviors of remote workers and digital nomads.
  • Align with Brand: Ensure all content reflects RemoteCasa’s innovative and inclusive identity, and communicates its mission effectively.
  • Set Clear Objectives: Work with RemoteCasa's co-founder's to strategize and align social media activities with RemoteCasa’s broader goals, like increasing brand awareness. Define success with specific metrics like engagement rates and follower growth.
  • Content Planning: Keep content relevant by following the latest trends in travel and remote work. Be mindful of cultural sensitivity due to the global audience.
  • Manage Resources Efficiently: Utilize appropriate tools for content scheduling and analytics..
  • Iterate and Adapt: Schedule regular reviews to adapt strategies based on feedback and analytics

During this project, students will develop a comprehensive social media strategy, create a series of posts, and monitor their impact. This hands-on experience will provide insights into the dynamics of social media marketing within a tech-driven company.

Project Details:

Task 1: Market Analysis and Strategy Formulation

  • Details: Perform a SWOT analysis of RemoteCasa’s current social media presence; identify key trends and successful strategies in the travel and remote work sectors.

Task 2: Content Calendar Development

  • Details: Create a two-month content calendar that schedules daily posts, highlights promotional events, and aligns with strategic business goals.

Task 3: Content Creation and Management

  • Details: Develop content, including graphics, short videos, and blog posts; schedule posts using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer; engage with followers by responding to comments and messages.



Final Deliverables:

Provide details about what the student will upload to the platform as their final deliverable(s).


Deliverable 1: Social Media Strategy Document

  • Details: A comprehensive strategy document outlining objectives, target audience, tone of voice, platforms, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Deliverable 2: Content Calendar

  • Details: A detailed calendar listing all planned posts, their timing, platforms, and objectives.

Deliverable 3: Engagement Report

  • Details: A report analyzing the engagement metrics of the implemented posts, insights gained, and recommendations for future strategies.

Work directly alongside RemoteCasa's CEO who brings over 15 years of Growth Marketing experience within the Canadian technology landscape.
  • Accessible Expertise: Students will have access to a pool of seasoned professionals from our marketing and technology departments to provide specialized insights and problem-solving strategies.


Tools and Technology:

  • Platform Access: Students will be given access to necessary social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms to schedule and analyze posts.
  • Collaborative Tools: We will provide access to communication and project management tools like Slack and Asana to facilitate seamless collaboration among team members and mentors.


Data and Resources:

  • Market Data Access: Interns will have access to data via Google analytics regarding current market trends, audience analytics, and previous successful campaigns to inform their strategy and content creation.
  • Learning Materials: We will supply relevant articles, case studies, and webinars that align with the project’s objectives and enhance the learning experience.
