Details

The St. Catharines Downtown Association seeks to understand and communicate the economic and cultural value of its downtown area in comparison to the broader City and Region. The goal of this project is to analyze existing data sets related to economic activity, foot traffic, cultural events, GDP and business growth within downtown St. Catharines. By comparing these metrics to those of the larger City and Region, the project aims to highlight the unique contributions and strengths of the downtown area. This analysis will help the Association advocate for resources, support local businesses, and plan future initiatives. The project will provide learners with the opportunity to apply data analysis skills, utilize visualization tools, and develop a comprehensive report that effectively communicates their findings.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed report and a presentation. The report should include a comparative analysis of downtown St. Catharines versus the City and Region, supported by data visualizations. The presentation should summarize key findings and recommendations, designed to be shared with stakeholders and community members.
