Details

We need your help in the following ways:

  • The students in this large first-year psychology course explore a wide range of psychological science topics, including human development, social psychology, and mental health, wellness, and treatment.
  • As it is a huge (~1500-person) class, the students represent a diverse array of backgrounds, skills, and areas of expertise. Students can produce several deliverables, including visual displays, advertisements, videos, brochures, and outreach materials.
  • The large class also provides an opportunity for your organization to build awareness on campus and attract future donors and volunteers.
  • Although all students in the course will participate in this project, only a small number of finalists will be advanced to the community partner.

The Serendipity Group is a not-for-profit organization with a core focus on helping individuals who have mental illness and cannot afford Mental Health services. Our secondary focus is to provide financial literacy courses, programs and coaching to individuals and families in financial distress.

Unlike most not-for-profit / charitable organizations, we will not rely on charitable donations, grants or events to raise our funds. Our approach will be a model called social business. “A social business is outside the profit-seeking world. Its goal is to solve a social problem by using business methods, including the creation and sale of products or services.” – Mental Health Services
