Community Learning Adult Student Society - Lac La Biche & District aims to strengthen its online presence and community engagement. The project focuses on developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to raise awareness of the organization's services. By enhancing their digital footprint, the organization seeks to connect more effectively with the community and attract a wider audience. Additionally, the project involves planning and scheduling community events to foster greater engagement and participation. The learners will apply their classroom knowledge in marketing and event management to achieve these objectives. This project provides an opportunity to work on real-world marketing challenges and contribute to the organization's growth and visibility.

Deliverables

Task One – Marketing of Furniture /Large Items & Barrel Gardens

- With support of staff develop a marketing plan for Furniture and large items that are donated to

Community Learning

- Make an inventory and take pictures of items

- Make a bulletin board with items for sale

- List items on local garage sale sites

- Working in conjunction with staff develop a tab on the website that items can be listed

- Prepare and develop posts for social media

- Track people who donate items and provide a thank you email

Barrel Gardens

- Prepare a marketing plan for barrel gardens – posters, social media, etc.

- Design an order form for Barrel Gardens – the form needs to be online as well as hard copy for

those who are not online – Support can be given by staff


Task Two

Sponsor & Supporter Recognition Certificates – Volunteer Recognition

- Design a plan to recognize Sponsors

- Print sponsor names on approximately 50 certificates

- Put printed certificates

Volunteer Recognition

- Develop a plan to recognize volunteers

- Could involve planning event – potluck luncheon, meeting to recognize the accomplishments


Task Three

Earth Day Happening Event

- Working as part of a committee the student will coordinate the Earth Day Happening Event.

Tasks may include.

- Plan events 0 including Recycled Art Contest

- Marketing of the Event – posters, social media posts

- Proposed budget

- Canvas for sponsorship to cover costs of the event


Deliverable One

- Work with staff to explore the needs and scope of the projects

- Attractive bulletin board with photos of items for sale

- At least 25 posts on social media of items for sale

- Order form for Barrel Gardens – online and hard copy

- Marketing plan for barrel gardens – poster developed

Deliverable Two

- Sponsor certificates in frames ready to distribute

- One or more volunteer recognition events planned and hosted

Deliverable Three

- Earth Day Happening Event planned with budget

- Ten sponsorship requests have been distributed

- Marketing of event is prepared – posters etc.

housewares etc.
Capacity Building
People from ALL backgrounds are supported to navigate the complex network of community
and government services. A holistic approach allows learners to determine their pathway and
access services to allow positive changes in his/her life.

Securing partnerships and funding to operate the five divisions.
Food Literacy
This is a multifaceted Division, which includes Stone Soup Food Center, Courses, & Increasing
Food Sustainability.
