Clean Energy Industry Project (Cohort 1)
Students have learned about Life Cycle Assessments, Feasibility Planning for Carbon Capture and Conversion as well as Sequestration and Utilization. They have also learned about standard procedures and emerging methods for operation and maintenance of Carbon facilities.
Hardware & Software Computer Engineering Technology
CMPE 2965
Students in the Computer Engineering Technology class shall complete a Technical Project that includes both a hardware and software components. Student skill sets include electronics, embedded systems, web development, databases, and Windows applications. The students bring project management skills to interpret a technical problem/challenge, propose a solution, design and build a prototype, and provide user, developer and testing documentation for the prototype. Students will also create a Professional Technical Report that walks through the project from conception to completion, and host a 15-20 minute presentation summarizing the project.
Financial Accounting
ACCT1115
Through this course from NAIT, students have been introduced to financial statements as a tool for business decision making. Financial statement users’ needs and decisions have been examined, and the principles of the accounting cycle have been explored. Specific elements of financial statements have been assessed, with the related accounting principles discussed. Financial statement analysis and internal control evaluation will supplement and support the exploration of financial reporting.
Digital Media and IT Fall 2024
DMIT
Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from NAIT to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience the knowledge and skills acquired during the first, second and third semesters of the DMIT program. Students or student teams will develop a project from analysis, through design, to development for an industry client. To further simulate the business environment, the teams will present their findings through both oral presentation and written documentation.
