Moose AI Mobile Energy Co-Pilot App Use Case Development
The primary objective of this project is to explore and develop key product use cases for the Moose mobile app, focusing on product design, market feasibility, and user experience. By analyzing real-world customer needs and leveraging AI-driven solutions, the project aims to define and prototype three core functionalities: 1) Hydro One Project Management Tool, 2) Operations & Maintenance with inverter error diagnostics, and 3) AI-powered Bill Analysis for electricity usage insights. One student will take on a product management role, conducting market research and defining requirements, while four students will focus on UI/UX design and technical development, ensuring the app is intuitive, functional, and scalable. To achieve this goal, participants will engage in a series of structured tasks, including user research, competitive analysis, product requirement definition, UI/UX prototyping, and AI feasibility assessment. Deliverables will include a Market Analysis Report, Customer Research Report, Product Requirements Document (PRD), UX/UI Mockups & Prototypes, an AI Feasibility Report, and a Final Presentation summarizing research insights and product design recommendations. These outputs will provide valuable insights into the market potential, user experience, and technical feasibility of each use case, ensuring that the Moose app evolves into a more robust and user-centric product.

microUtility-Operating System (mu-OS) for First Nations and small Communities
mu-OS "Moose" is an innovative mobile application designed for the First Nations communities to monitor and interact with their renewable energy systems (eg. rooftop solar) efficiently. Integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT (GPTs) technology, the app aims to provide real-time status updates and statistics of solar energy systems through a user-friendly interface. The project will focus on developing a robust mobile app capable of handling verbal inputs and delivering informative chatbot responses, thereby ensuring accessibility and ease of use for all community residents.
