Our organization, Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan, is a community non-profit membership association. We strive to address the deeper issues that individuals face, particularly newcomers from the Black community, youth and professionals who identify with the Black diaspora in Saskatchewan.
Our vision is to be the epicentre of development for world-class Black professionals.
Our mission is create a space that celebrates, recognizes and motivates Black professionals to excel academically and professionally while transforming their communities.
Our values are to inspire the next generation of Black people in the community, especially the children and youth.
Equipping Black people in our community to be professionally prepared for the workforce in North America.

Community Impact Coordinator
The objective of this project is to support the growth and impact of the BPES Community Hub by developing tools, strategies, and content that enhance our outreach, digital engagement, and booking coordination . This includes identifying local partnerships, growing our social media presence, and improving how we onboard and support hub users. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our hub becomes a welcoming, inclusive, and highly utilized space that meets the needs of Saskatchewanโs Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members.
Grant Proposal Development for Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan
The Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (BPES) is seeking support in developing a comprehensive grant proposal to secure funding for their community initiatives. The organization aims to enhance its programs that support Black professionals and entrepreneurs in the region. The project involves researching potential grant opportunities, understanding the specific requirements of each grant, and crafting a compelling narrative that aligns with BPES's mission and objectives. Learners will apply their knowledge of grant writing and research to create a proposal that highlights the impact of BPES's work and its future goals. The project will provide students with the opportunity to engage in real-world applications of their classroom learning, focusing on effective communication and strategic planning.
Digital Content Creation for Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
Our goal is to strengthen the online presence of the Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (BPES) and Okiki Consulting through engaging, consistent, and visually appealing content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn . By bringing on student collaborators, we aim to: Build brand awareness through creative storytelling. Expand reach to new audiences, including professionals, youth, and community partners. Enhance engagement through visually compelling graphics, reels, and posts. Create a consistent, professional, and culturally relevant brand identity on all platforms. Project Outcomes By the end of this project, students will: Develop and implement a 3โ4 month social media content strategy aligned with organizational goals. Design branded templates and graphics for recurring use (e.g., event promos, speaker highlights, community spotlights). Support campaigns that promote major events, programs, and announcements. Track social media analytics to measure impact and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate directly with the Creative Director and project leads to ensure all content reflects organizational values and tone.
Volunteer Recruitment Framework and Outreach Plan
The Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan, a nonprofit organization, seeks to enhance its volunteer recruitment efforts by developing a comprehensive framework and outreach plan. The organization aims to attract student volunteers who can contribute to its mission of supporting black professionals and entrepreneurs in the region. The project involves analyzing current recruitment strategies, identifying areas for improvement, and designing a structured approach to engage potential student volunteers effectively. The goal is to create a sustainable and scalable recruitment model that aligns with the organization's objectives and resources. Students will apply their knowledge of human resources and recruitment strategies to develop a plan that includes targeted outreach methods, communication strategies, and volunteer engagement techniques. The project will provide students with practical experience in nonprofit recruitment and strategic planning.
